sustainability frog

based off the appearance of Pacific chorus frogs b/c they are a native species

Simon Edwards - Captain Capilano

I relaize I may be quite a bit late, but here are my designs thus far anyways. They are all varying permutations of the same general shape, with a few exceptions.

Feedback would be greatly appreciated. I really need to get further away from our friend Michigan J. Frog...

Regardless, my general vision for the good Captain is this: He would appear to be a regular frog, perhaps reclining peacefully upon a lily pad or beneath a park bench, and would only morph into Captain Capilano at the onset of UN-GREEN attitude-- think Superman/Clark Kent, Peter Parker/Spiderman, etc. etc.

Desirae's design

"Captain Sustain the porcupine gets prickly over important issues like recycling."

Alex York - Captain Sustain

I worked on two ideas. One is based on a small fox (sort of a Fennec Fox, legal in some parts of Canada) and the other is a humanoid creature with a leaf on its head!

Need to upload your work? Lana, Pat, Aynsley and Sadie can add you!

Hi, if you haven't been received an email from Blogger after emailing me, see any of the above people since they now have administrative rights and can bring in more people.

Remember...5pm.

Pat's Designs

Here is my first one: a fox.  I tried a couple optional clothing accessories.

Here is my second one: a Yeti.  I added a little darker line on the second version to help the scan.

This is my third design: the Guru of Sustainability.

I tried to go for cute but not annoyingly so, but also able to be serious, while also thinking of designs that could work as a mascot.

Sustainability Character Submission - Lana Golin

So I didn't think my first idea would be accepted...
So here's a few alterations of some of the presented characters.  (NOT THE HERON!!)
Kinda worried that people won't know it's a marten, but that's fine because I still don't really know what a marten is...
Still like the frog idea.  You can morph his face in fun ways.

I am so professional.  Always.

I'll probably tighten these up for Tuesday's class and add some expressions and whatnot.  Maybe.  We'll see.

Hope you like!

Leopold

Here are some ideas done quickly on Tuesday night.

Two mascot designs; click the thumbnails for larger views!

The frog re-designed:

A dinosaur (fossil fuels and all that):
"Don't get extinct like me! Reduce, reuse, recycle!"

The logos from the frog could easily be applied to the chest of the dinosaur as well.

Hi, here's the blog for Jorge to view your submissions.

When scanning drawings for the Internet, scan them at 72 dots per inch resolution.  This will give you a good quality image but not one that is too memory intensive.
